Arline Westmeier nació en Pensilvania, Estados Unidos, y es hija de una familia-Amish-Menonita. Hizo su primera entrega a Jesucristo a la temprana edad de tres años y medio. Siempre sentía el llamado a ser misionera. Estudió enfermería y en 1965 salió a Costa Rica para aprender español. Allí conoció a Carlos Westmeier, procedente de Alemania, que también venía para estudiar español para radicarse en Colombia como misionero. Contrajeron matrimonio y sirvieron en Colombia por más de veintiún años. Aquí nacieron sus hijos David y Ruthie. En 1986 se trasladaron a Nyack, NY, Estados Unidos, donde a su esposo lo nombraron profesor de misiones en el Seminario Teológico Alianza. En 1992 se mudaron a Puerto Rico, donde él es profesor residente en el Seminario Teológico Alianza de Hato Rey.
Además de estudiar enfermería, Arline tiene una Licenciatura en Sicología de la Universidad Estatal de Nueva York, una Maestría en Teología de la Universidad de Aberdeen, Escocia, una Maestría en Filosofía de la Universidad de Drew, Madison, NJ, y un Doctorado en Filosofía en Sicología y Religión de la misma universidad.
Arline es autora de varios libros. Desde su jubilación en 2002, se dedica a dar conferencias internacionales y a preparar pastores y consejeros en el uso del método de consejería delineado en sus libros. Arline y su esposo, Carlos, son ministros de la Alianza Cristiana y Misionera de Puerto Rico. // Arline Westmeier born in Pennsylvania, United States, and she is a daughter of an Amish- Mennonite family. She did know for first time to Jesus Christ at three years old. Always had feel the call to be missionary. She earned a nursing degree, and in 1965 went to Costa Rica for learn Spanish. There she did know Charles Westmeier, which came from Germany, and he came to for learn Spanish too, in regard to reside in Colombia as missionary. They are married and served in Colombia for over 21 years. Here, were born their children David and Ruthie. In 1986, they moved to Nyack, NY, United States, where he was designate Professor of Missions in Alliance Theological Seminary. In 1992, they moved to Puerto Rico, where he is associate professor in Hato Rey Alliance Theological Seminary.
Also her nursing degree, Arline earned a BA in Psychology from New York State University, a MA in Theology from Aberdeen University, Scotia, a MA in M.Phil. from Drew University, Madison, NJ, and a PhD in Psychology and Religion from the same university.
Arline is an author of various books. Since her retirement in 2002, she is dedicated to give international conferences and to prepare shepherds and counselors in the use of the counseling method delineated in her books. Arline and her husband, Charles, are ministers of the Puerto Rico Alliance Church.
