Grade 4 Up-An overview of each sport seems to have been the goal of this series, but the information in these titles is randomly presented. Profiles of some notable participants in the sport (such as Arnold Schwarzenegger in Bodybuilding or skateboarder Tony Hawk in Extreme Sports) may interest readers, but the texts get cumbersome with the mentioning of other athletes who have not remained in the public eye. Black-and-white photographs help to break up the long texts but they are not very appealing and a few photos are the same in both Bodybuilding and Strongman. Techniques for performing the sports are mentioned, but pulling out the information is a bit of a task.
