About the Authors

Mary Ann Nester arrived in England from New York in the early 1970s and never went home. In 1977, she set up Aslan Dog Training, a dog training school named after her first agility dog, a Lurcher. She holds puppy parties and offers classes in obedience and agility in her hometown and conducts training days and workshops throughout Britain and abroad. Nester is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT); she is also an Agility Club Approved Instructor, a licensed SAQ® trainer and accredited trainer in the DAQ® method. She is the author of several books and an enthusiastic doggy dancing competitor. She and her Poodle have gained excellent qualifications by winning classes in canine freestyle and heelwork to music. She has also passed the Kennel Club examination on "Requirements of a Heelwork to Music Judge." When not dancing with her own dogs or teaching other people how to dance with theirs, Mary Ann works as the part-time Clinic Administrator for an out-of-hours veterinary emergency service.
