Gerard S. Sloyan is Professor Emeritus of Religion at Temple University and Visiting Professor of Religion and Religious Education at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. Past President of both the Catholic Biblical Association and the College Theology Society, he is author of many books, including John in the Interpretation series (1992), What Are They Saying about John? (1992), and Preaching from the Lectionary, with CD-ROM (Fortress Press, 2003).
