Synopsis

Like Genesis, the new volume in the Texts @ Contexts series presents cutting-edge scholarship on select books of the Bible from authors from a rich array of social, cultural, and ethnic locations, all participants in the Society of Biblical Literature's Contextual Biblical Interpretation Section. Mark foregrounds cross-cultural readings of family and class, the sacred and demonic realms, boundaries and ethnicity, and the nature of divine power, offering stimulating insights for students and scholars of the New Testament and of biblical interpretation.
