Seller: Space Age Books LLC, Conroe, TX, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. If you are fascinated by the idea of "first contact" with aliens, then you need this book. Of the fourteen stories original to this theme anthology, plus Ben Bova's insightful introductory essay, only one (Ian Watson's "Peace") has ever been reprinted. Included are stories by award winners Barry Longyear (author of "Enemy Mine") and George Guthridge (Bram Stoker Award winner.) "First Edition" on the copyright page and no statement of printing, so a 1st printing. The front end paper has a gift inscription plus a book store stamp, otherwise the book would be near fine, marred only by a bump at top corner plus light wear at head and heel. Not a remainder. The unclipped dust jacket, now protected in a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: bright and unmarked, but with light wear and some shallow chipping along top edge and heel. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.
