Every family's heritage reaches back many centuries and includes various branches. The Christian family is much like this, contend Phillips and Okholm, as they examine the "evangelical branch" of the church. Timothy R. Phillips served as associate professor of theology at Wheaton College prior to his death in October 2000. Dennis L. Okholm professor of theology at Azusa Pacific University. Together they coedited The Nature of Confession: Evangelicals and Postliberals in Conversation, More Than One Way?, and Christian Apologetics in the Postmodern World.
