Synopsis
The Legacy of Zion is the first handbook of its kind available to students of the New Testament. It is a sourcebook of the Judaic documents of the Intertestamental era‚ documents which illuminate the relationship of New Testament christology to its background of Judaic messianism. Dr. Henry Morgan contends that an understanding of he tradition and world-view of historical Judaism puts New Testament teachings in perspective. "Jesus Christ and His disciples lived and spoke in and from, as well as to, their times. They drew upon their rich religious heritage in Judaism, centralized in scriptures, in order to communicate God's new Reality present in Jesus. Dr. Moeller has collected and organized translations of original intertestamental documents and has indicated the historical relationships between them. He has also pointed out the relationships of concepts and themes in the documents by cross references and notes.
