It looks for ways to challenge students to pose and resolve some problems on their own. The book suggest that students need help to set goals and design strategies to reach those goals, both for academic and life achievement. The book recomends that you do this by teaching students something aboaut the nature of thinking, what makes a thoughtful person, and how one can improve one's intellectual performance by learning different ways of figuring things out. DThis book is all about creating the climate or classroom environment wherin students feel invited to think productively.
