To reduce the deleterious effects of environmental contamination, governments across the world have enacted regulations broadly conceived for entire populations. Marchant is the Lincoln Professor of Emerging Technologies at Arizona State University, where he is also a professor of law and life sciences and the executive director of the Center for Law, Science, and Technology.
