Dr. Armerding says the psalmist takes the gloomy opening of Psalm 46 and turns it into notes of praise to our Lord. The psalmist reminds us that God is our strength and help in times of trouble. It is in God that we have anchor and can remain steadfast during these troubled times. The beautiful words of the psalmist plus Dr. Armerding’s own insights make these meditations worth reading.
