Synopsis
the vision fulfilled, the third book in Kay McDonald's best-selling trilogy, opens as Ross and Marlette are reunited in Independence , Missouri to embark together on the long trek westward. Ross, over whelmed by the turmoil of so many compatible migrants converging on Independence assumes the leadership of a group of wagons,. A proud and stubborn individual his dismayed by the prejudice,m selfishness and petty jealousy he discovers amid his fellow travelers. From the very start Ross"s train is beset with trouble: the brutality of the elements and illness on the road; a kidnapping by hostile Indians that only Ross can keep from escalating into bloodshed, and eye- opening confrontation with Ross's half-brother and his warriors. And despite Marlette's blossoming pregnancy, the harshness of the journey and the unrelieved presence of the other travelers puts a dangerous strain on their marriage. About the Author
Kay McDonald was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She graduated from North Salem High School and Famous Writers School. She worked for Pacific NW Bell and Paradise Island Mobile Park. She married husband Norman L. McDonald in 1955 and has two children. She is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West and Authors Guild.
