La publicacion de la edicion castellana de este comentario, pone al alcance del lector hispanoparlante una de las obras mas destacadas de un autor escoces de reconocida trayectoria a nivel mundial en el campo de los estudios biblicos. La primera edicion inglesa, que aparecio a comienzos de la decada de 1950, fue recibida como un verdadero acontecimiento editorial por los amantes del estudio biblico. Por decadas fue considerada como el mejor comentario sobre Los Hechos de los Apostoles de la pluma de un erudito evangelico. Sin embargo, el mismo autor demostro que su obra era perfectible cuando en 1990, muy poco antes de su fallecimiento, publico una segunda edicion aumentada y revisada. Esta segunda edicion ha servido de base para la presente edicion castellana. En este comentario F. F. Bruce ofrece su propia traduccion del texto biblico directamente del griego. Los editores se han esforzado por ser fieles al original en ingles, pero a cada paso han cotejado la traduccion castellana con el texto griego. Indudablemente, esta obra del celebre profesor de la Universidad de Manchester brindara a los lectores de habla castellana el mismo servicio que en su idioma original ha brindado a muchisimos estudiosos. The publication of the Spanish edition of this commentary allows Hispanic readers to access one of the most important works of biblical studies from this world-renowned Scottish author. The first English edition, which appeared in the early 1950s, was considered for many decades to be the best commentary on the Acts of the Apostles written by an evangelical author. Nevertheless, Bruce published an expanded and revised second edition in 1990. This second edition is the basis for the present Spanish edition. In this commentary, Bruce offers his own translation of the biblical text directly from the Greek text. The editors have made their best effort to be true to the original English text, and at each step they have compared it to the original Greek. Undoubtedly, this work from the famous professor at the University of Manchester will bring to Spanish readers the same inspiration that it has given to many students in its original language.
