Synopsis
Since the turn of the century, a proliferation of new theological terms and concepts has flooded the vocabulary of amateur and professional theologians. Attention is focused upon Barth, Brunner, Reinhold Neibuhr, Tilliach, and Bultmann; Soren Kierkegaard is also given major consideration inasmuch as his ideas are still very contemporary. Consideration is given to such concepts as abyss, authentic existence, analogy of being, Biblical realism, encounter, leap, neo-libralism, Word of God, and freedom. This handbook will prove to be an indispensable reference for all those who incorporate contemporary theological terms in their vocabulary.
