Synopsis
Cassidy French had everything -- idyllic farm life with a family she loved and a handsome sheriff's deputy boyfriend named Mitch O'Reilly with whom she wanted happily ever-after. Then a terrible accident changed everything. Her father was arrested, and Mitch helped take him away from her. After that, happily ever-after seemed like it would never, ever happen. Cassidy threw Mitch out of her life and found a routine of farm work and monthly visitations, after her father's conviction. Years later, and Cass' father is finally up for parole. As she prepares for the crucial hearing, she crosses paths with Mitch once more. Will he keep her family apart or help her find happily ever-after at last? And what about Ty, the charming reporter who wants to tell Cass' story?

About the Author
Alayne Adams writes stories with warmth and wit. She grew up in Middle Tennessee's dairy country, telling stories to a variety of farm animals and pets. As they say, you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl, and even though she currently lives in the capitol of Pennsylvania, she makes it to an agrarian setting every chance she gets. After pursuing a B.A. in history at the University of Tennessee, and an M.A. in writing at Seton Hill University, she now writes full-time and gives presentations to other writers. She also cares for a much smaller menagerie of three sassy parrots and a sweet Schipperke who lives to go on long walks during which he helps her plot her stories. The Not So Simple Life is Alayne Adams' second book, joining In Perfect Harmony which is also currently available.
