Background Information: Sandwich glass, a distinctive type of glass crafted by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company in the town of Sandwich, Massachusetts, during the years 1825 to 1888. This glassworks, founded by Deming Jarves, was renowned for producing a wide array of glassware, ranging from blown and molded to cut and engraved pieces. Notably, Sandwich gained widespread recognition for pioneering early pressed glass, a technique involving glass being pressed into molds.
