Reviews

While there are many travel guides to Ireland, Fullington claims that this is the first for the true connoisseur, i.e., the discriminating traveler who has, it is implied, more time and money than the ordinary package tourist. The organization is by county, with chapters giving detailed information on lodgings, restaurants, and shopping. There are also suggestions for slow-paced itineraries to the most elegant places, e.g., magnificent Georgian estates and Irish castles, some of which may be rented. Practical information on car rental, credit cards, tipping, and climate abounds, making this a very useful guide for the polished traveler. Laurence Hull, Cannon Memorial Lib., Concord,
