Reviews

Gr 5-8--Two straightforward overviews. Reproductive System describes male and female systems, hormones, fertilization, stages of pregnancy, STDs, and birth control. Skeletal System includes descriptions of bones, ligaments, tendons, skeletal deformities, artificial limbs, and how to keep bones healthy. Both volumes are chock-full of detail and are written in a lively, readable manner. All of the material is presented objectively and scientifically. Informative full-color photos, clear illustrations, and fact boxes appear throughout the texts. Solid nonfiction series entries.
