Synopsis

Carl Gustav Jung's emphasis on the spiritual aspects of human nature, his view of the meaning of dreams & the importance of subjective experience, brought him into conflict with his mentor Sigmund Freud. However his contributions to psychology & psychiatry are recognized today. Here friend & colleague E.A. Bennet introduces us to Jung's thought in the context of his life & work.
"For Jung, analysis was a spiritual quest: a deeply serious endeavor to come to terms with oneself, to accept oneself, & to become, as far as possible, the person which it was intended one should be."--Anthony Storr
"What Jung Really Said has stood the test of time. It is a classic. Clear, concise, historically sensitive & theoretically sound, it has the unusual virtue of being both intellectually sophisticated & accessible to the uninitiated reader...An outstanding introduction to Jung's life & thought."--Murray Stein, author of Jung's Treatment of Christianity & editor of Jungian Analysis
