It was the love of jazz that prompted Missouri native Denis Gray to write Benny's Last Blast!!, along with his belief that any art must have its practitioners for it to survive. This music lover currently resides in Long Island, New York, with his wife Barbara. They have a son, Darin. "Benny's Last Blast!!" is also available as a play by the same name.
