Synopsis
A collection of comical, farcical one-act dramas, Four Plays reflects some of the more absurd aspects of human nature.
Each work included here draws on the unique aspects of its characters to create tales that are driven by personality. "Willie’s Help" takes the audience into the home of William Shakespeare and speculates on the true inspirations for some of the playwright’s most memorable lines. "Centenius" portrays the courtroom antics of an oddly appealing criminal, while "Old Folk Holmes" follows the twisting logic of an aging and bumbling Sherlock Holmes. The final selection, "SubNormal" shares the predicament of a father and son who can’t seem to rid themselves of a profanity-spewing parrot – until the bird’s worth is reveals in a comical twist.
With clever dialogue and intelligent humor, Four Plays is a lighthearted and entertaining collection.
