Francis Robiscek believed the designs on Maya pottery represented texts or codices. To support this postulate, he visited Maya sites, institutional and private ceramic collections world wide to complete the first comprehensive study of the particular Maya ceramic style that encompassses all known examples. What emerges is a tentative sequence of funerary ceramics which represent the 'Book of the Dead of the Maya'. Seller Inventory # ABE-1758649507976
