Andrew J. Rausch is a freelance writer and film critic whose articles, essays, reviews and celebrity interviews have appeared in numerous publications, including Film Threat, Ain't It Cool News, Bright Lights Film Journal, Shock Cinema, Micro-Film, The Joe Bob Briggs Report, Creative Screenwriting, and Images: A Journal of Film and Popular Culture. Rausch is also the author of The 100 Greatest American Films, The Greatest War Films of All Time, and Turning Points in Film History. In addition, Rausch has worked on a number of B movies in various capacities, including executive producer, director, screenwriter, and actor. He resides in Parsons, Kansas, with his wife, Mary, their three daughters, Jordan, Jaiden, and Jalyn, and their two pets--a dog named Kesey (after novelist Ken Kesey) and a cat named Tyger (after Stephen King's short story, "Here There Be Tygers.") Rarely has the phrase "overnight success" fit anyone better than actress Lauren Bacall. Although she had done some minor stage work, Bacall found success in modeling as a teenager. However, her life quickly changed gears when director Howard Hawks' wife saw a magazine cover featuring the beauty who would later be nicknamed "The Look."
