Follow the method outlined in Your Call is Waiting to discern your own call within God’s plan. Questions, charts, lists, and contemplation of biblical examples of calling will lead you to your answer.
To enhance this process, the author includes a 30-day Bible study that will focus your mind and spirit on your calling.
Written in a very practical, accessible style with many examples and anecdotes (biblical and otherwise), Your Call is Waiting is useful for both individual and small group exploration.

In 1998, a chance meeting with an editor led to my presenting my own notes and ideas on teaching communication skills in churches. To my surprise, I received a telephone call a week later, with a firm offer to write a book that helped Christians communicate their faith. Within a few days, a call came confirming that the publisher would like to commission a book about communication between God and the individual. I had two months to write the book.
After much of the book had been completed, there was an accident. During a construction project at my office, the roof came tumbling down and all my notes, including those on the computer, were ruined. Starting again, I wrote the book within two weeks, writing for two hours each day.
This lengthy process itself shaped the content of the book. Early on, I had failed to really note what God wanted for me. I sensed my calling was to write, but I could not really believe that writing was something God wanted me to do. I thought that this was something other people did. As a result, I wasted years of preparation time.
I don't want anyone else to miss the preparation time. God calls each one of us uniquely. As I see the principles of this book applied, I find that people are envisioned, impassioned, and equipped for service in a new, fresh way. Your Call is Waiting is written to help readers fully accept God’s unique call for their lives.
