YA-- Written in an easy-to-understand style and profusely illustrated, this how-to book presents a basic step-by-step program for novices as well as for more advanced students. Kennedy starts with medically sound principles, continues with the latest information on proper nutrition, and then gives a thorough explanation of recommended techniques. There is a section specifically for women, a critique of home and commercial gyms, and an analysis of contests for the more ambitious to enter.
