About the Author

Peter Berresford Ellis has written over thirty books of history and biography, including The Scottish Insurrection of 1820 (Gollancz/Pluto Press) and A Dictionary of Irish Mythology. He is also the editor of James Connolly: Selected Writings (Penguin/Pluto Press) and the author of the bestselling novel The Rising of the Moon. He lives in North London.
