Synopsis
What can the teachings of St. Paul have to say to Christians in the 21st century? Plenty, according to Carolyn Thomas in this popularly written introduction to the major letters of St. Paul.
Not a commentary in the usual sense, this work provides insights into the major issues covered in Paul's letters. The author underlines what makes the letters speak to us today, then interprets selected passages from each letter, followed by questions for reflection and prayers. The prayers are taken from the saints and the early Church Fathers. Paul's message, which is as relevant now as it was in the first century, will edify and inspire us to a more intimate relationship with God

About the Author
Carolyn Thomas, who holds a Ph.D. from Fordham University, is professor of biblical studies at the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, OH. Her last book for Paulist Press was Gift and Response (1995).
