William Byron, SJ, is a university professor of business and society at St. Joseph s University, Philadelphia.He is past president of the University of Scranton, The Catholic University of America, and Loyola University New Orleans. The author of many books, he holds a doctorate in economics and has taught in the business schools of Georgetown and Loyola University Maryland.
