Soft cover. Condition: As New. No Jacket. Photographs by Rick A. Kolodziej (illustrator). 1st Edition. This 1982 book is an artifact in its own right, but we would not recommend relying on it as a price guide, 40-odd years later. As the Baby Boomers age or depart the scene, leaving their grandchildren to dispose of their cherished hoards of '60s memorabilia (more supply, less demand), presumably the value of all but the most truly rare Beatles records and paraphernalia (think "The Butcher Cover") will begin to fall off in the same manner as Rudy Vallee, Dorothy Lamour and Nelson Eddy mementos. Nonetheless, the prices listed here still appear curiously low. This volume offers good-sized photos of many of the downright bizarre promotional items marketed to capitalize on Beatlemania, including cake-top decorations ("worth more if in original packaging"), nylon stockings, and guitars (not Hoffners or Rickenbacker 12-strings, you understand, but plastic "toy" guitars), all said photos in black-and-white, and all reproduced on matte (not coated) stock. 278 pp.; originally sold for $14.95; here reduced from $42.
