Synopsis

Commenting on the musical traditions they inspired, these drummers offer distinct perspectives on the origins of rock music and its 35-year growth. The book's subjects include Ringo Starr of the Beatles, Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones, Levon Helm of The Band and Dino Danelli of the Young Rascals. Max Weinberg holds "Rolling Stone" magazine's Best Drummer Award for 1986.
