About the Author:

Lyn Reese and Jean Wilkinson began their collaboration as K-12th grade curriculum developers and resource teachers in the 1970s in the Berkeley, CA schools' innovative Women's Studies Program. Their published work includes In Search of Our Past: Six Units in American and World History, and an anthology on female adolescence, I'm On My Way Running: Women Speak on Coming of Age. Reese directs the California Historical Society's school program, and Wilkinson, retired after 30 years high school teaching, consults and conducts workshops.
