About the Author:
Andrew Nickson is a senior lecturer in the School of Public Policy, University of Birmingham (England). He lived in Paraguay from 1969 to 1971 and has visited the country regularly ever since. His many publications on the country include Paraguay: power game (1981) and Paraguay: an annotated bibliography (1987).
