Phillip Thomas Tucker is the chief historian of the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He is the author of several books on the Civil War including The Confederacy's Fighting Chaplain, winner of the Douglas Southall Freeman Award, and Burnside's Bridge: The Climactic Struggle of the 2nd and 20th Georgia at Antietam Creek. He has also co-edited, with Jeffrey Smith, The 1862 Plot to Kidnap Jefferson Davis.
