Patricia A. Martinelli lives in southern New Jersey and is the administrator of the Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society. Charles A. Stansfield Jr. lives in Pitman, New Jersey, and was professor of geography at Rowan University for 41 years. He is the author of 11 books on the paranormal.
"Authors Martinelli and Stansfield have produced an entertaining collection of the Garden State's historical and contemporary ghost tales, set in the region's forests, villages, urban centers, and seaports. Particularly interesting are their stories spotlighting well-known historical figures―such as Thomas Edison, Aaron Burr, Blackbeard the Pirate and, of course, the infamous Jersey Devil. This enjoyable book is an artful blend of fine writing and thorough research." (Ed Okonowicz, Author of Big Book of Maryland Ghost Stories & Civil War Ghosts at Ft Delaware 2013-02-01)
