    About the Author

    Don Garber has been a runner for more than 30 years and has completed 17 marathons. Through his coaching with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program and YMCA Marathon Training Team for the SunTrust Richmond, he has helped hundreds of runners successfully complete their own first marathons. He lives in Richmond, Virginia. Chip Mitchell is an award-winning photographer living in Ashland, Virginia.
