Sheldon Gerstenfeld, VMD is director of the Chestnut Hill Veterinary Hospital and Bird Clinic in Philadelphia. Author of previous books on cat and dog care, he has served as a contributing editor to Parents magazine and hosted a radio program on pet care. He lives outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
