As various animals walk through the jungle and see small parts of other animals, they wonder who they belong to

Rod Campbell has been writing and illustrating children’s books for over twenty years. Best known for his classic lift-the-flap title DEAR ZOO, he is also the creator of the much loved character, Buster. Ingeniously simple, with touches of gentle humour, his books continue to be enjoyed by children, parents and teachers alike. Rod now lives in France.
This time the creator of Dear Zoo employs a strategy not unfamiliar to readers: a glimpse of an animalleg, neck, trunkshows up on one page and then in its entirety on the next. He also incorporates a minor biology lesson when the animal identifies itself: "I can see a curly tail! I wonder who that belongs to? 'It's mine!' says the monkey; 'I hang from branches with it.' " One spread toward the end shows a pop-up of a lion roaring. Fans of Campbell's other books will find similar simple shapes and saucy colors, and his characteristic knack for building in child appeal. Ages 2-5.
