Book Description
American Jews, hampered by the postwar mood of disillusionment and isolationism and by the vicious anti-Semitic attacks of the 1920s, failed to mount an effective campaign to influence either the government or public opinion.
About the Author
Naomi W Cohen is a professor of history at Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She obtained her Ph.D. from Columbia University and has written extensive/v in the area of Jewish studies. Her books include A Dual Heritage, Not Free to Desist, American Jews and the
Zionist Idea, and Encounter with Emancipation.
