Levi Brackman (Broomfield, Colorado), a former rabbi, is currently an executive at one of the oil supermajors. Prior to that he led data science and AI deployment at a technology company. He is also the founder of a number of successful organizations and startups.  

Sam Jaffe (Evergreen, Colorado) is a business consultant and former financial columnist whose articles appeared in the Wall Street Journal , Popular Science, The New Republic, and Scientific American .

He has a PhD in the quantitative social sciences and a master's degree from University College London. He lives with his wife and children in Broomfield, Colorado.

SAM JAFFE is the founder and Managing Director of Cairn Energy Research Advisors. He has more than ten years of experience as an analyst, consultant and executive in the energy storage industry. He is frequently quoted in multiple press outlets, including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and CNBC. He lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.

The corporate examples are relevant and timely (right down to the implosion of Countrywide Financial) and the proposed practices contain pearls of wisdom such as a weekly "audit of the soul" where strengths and weaknesses are assessed in terms of recent actions and are examined for mistakes, correctable by a four-step process. The authors outline sound principles and provide ample strong examples in this solid business primer.
