Synopsis
Yussel Fetner springs from a line of sainted, beloved rabbis, but at thirteen he had turned his back on a thousand years of Fetner destiny. He wanted no part of the Law or the rabbinate, the lineage or the blood that had, for a millennium, offered saints and scholars in the service of God. He performed perfectly during his bar mitzvah but had furiously refused to give his heart to HaShem. Although Yussel finds himself selling insurance in New York City, he discovers he cannot reject the imperatives of his bloodline - or his heart - so easily.
