Grade 10 Up–According to her introduction, the author seeks to put down in writing the implied code of conduct by which people are all expected to live. Her purpose in doing so is to give recent high school or college graduates a concrete list of criteria to which they can refer so that they may meet or exceed the usually unspoken expectations of adulthood. The breadth of subject, however, is the downfall of this book. The focus is far too broad to allow it to be read cover to cover, but the chances of someone new to the workforce turning to a reference book in times of confusion are slim.–Morgan Johnson-Doyle, Sierra High School Library, Colorado Springs, CO
