Grade 3-5–Experiments in this loose-leaf collection range from folding a simple mobius strip to creating a gravity gauge. Each experiment is clearly marked with a biker riding up a hill (hard), down a hill (easy), or on a flat surface (intermediate). The print is large and the text is concise, giving readers information on how long the experiment will take, what materials are necessary, safety precautions, clearly written instructions, and questions to consider during observations. Supplemental material provides explanations for each activity and answers the questions posed at the end of each entry. Clear line drawings and sample data tables complement the text.
