Synopsis

As a crusader for temperance and prison and workhouse reform, and founder of the Colored Industrial Home, Frances Joseph-Gaudet (1861-1834) was tireless in her service to the downtrodden of all ages, races, and creeds. Her autobiography, first published in 1913, documents her spiritual call to help the oppressed, describes her travels and lectures in Europe to raise money and awareness for her causes, and presents many of her remedies for society's ills through education and Christian life. "He Leadeth Me" is a moving account of the life and work of a remarkable woman.
