Synopsis
Inquiry by Design, Tools for Environment-Behavior Research, is just one in a series of books about how to research and codify the ways in which habitat (environment) affects behavior. In this volume, author John Zeisel lays out several strategies for researchers and designers to begin to conceive of and develop a shared body of Environment-Behavior (EB) research and outcomes. Such a shared body of information could become invaluable to environment designers when called upon to create new environments or make strategic revisions to existing structures. According to Zeisel, the ultimate goal will be to have this body of knowledge on hand to reference when "the political will to redesign our cities next returns…"
