About the Author:
Erich Kulka himself lived through the Auschwitz atrocities, both as a prisoner in the extermination camp and as a member of the international underground movement. He appeared as a witness after the war in many court cases conducted against Nazis, including the famous Auschwitz trials in Germany. Together with Ota Kraus, he authored The Death Factory (Document on Auschwitz.
