This book of verse begins with the movement from the unlimited gift of glory, through the pillage of heart and soul in modern life, ending with the yearning desire for liberation. Extraordinary, brilliant images make us aware of what we yearn for, and lead us to awareness of the need for spiritual sustenance. It ends with the universal plea: "Unfold my wings, set me to fly, from the fortress of these dungeon walls, my liberation grant." O soul of souls, my soul was not all you took away,
My heart and belief you pillaged as well.
Your alluring and shining guidance kindles,
The flaming dance of passion and ecstasy so dear.
My portion from your everlasting and inspiring soul I take,
'Til absolute awareness is my enraptured state.
Though, I am enclosed in the coercion of time,
Yet, the resplendent flame of this lantern I am.
Unfold my wings, set me to fly,

And within His authority lies
the key to this treasure's door.
Should the hand of Him, the treasure's Lord,
