About the Author:
The Author: Gerhard P. Knapp has held academic positions in Berlin, Amsterdam, and Canada. At present, he is Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He is the author/editor of numerous books on literary, philosophical and sociological topics, including Georg Büchner, (1977, 1984), Die Literatur des deutschen Expressionismus (1979), Theodor W. Adorno (1980), Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1980); (ed.) Max Frisch: Aspekte des Prosawerks (Peter Lang, 1978) and Max Frisch: Aspekte des Bühnenwerks (Peter Lang, 1979). He has also published over fifty articles in journals and anthologies both in the U.S.A. and abroad.
