From the Author

Meet the MacInness Sisters . . . One hundred years after the Salem witch trials, three sisters who have been scattered at birth, each with unique unearthly talents (fire, sight and healing), are drawn back to town. Initially unaware of each other's existence, they soon discover they have three months to find each other, refine their talents, and work together to break a century-old curse that condemns the men they love to an early death.

From the Inside Flap

"What do you know of my dreams?"

Benjamin shrugged. "I know how much you want your own family. I presume that hasn't changed. More than anything, you desire a home filled with love and children - a place where you can feel as if you belong. Am I right?"

She nodded, unable to say a word. It sounded so simple, so tedious when he said it aloud. Yet indeed, it was her dream, and he'd known it all along.

"I respect that dream, Bri," he said quietly. "In fact, in a way, I envy it. I'll not do anything to take that away from you."

Horrified, she felt the prick of tears at her eyes and blinked rapidly to force them back. "I . . . I thank you then."

He held out a hand and Bridget looked slowly up into his face. She saw a curious mixture of tenderness and sadness.

"Come," he said. "I'll walk you home."

She hesitated to take his hand, to touch him. "It's not necessary. I know the way."

"I know. But just for a moment, I thought we could imagine ourselves as children again." He kept his hand outstretched. "Indulge me just this one time. I gave my word, Bri. I'll behave as the perfect gentleman."
