Synopsis
Twenty-six papers from the May 2002 conference survey known results about function spaces and present recent developments in the field. The contributors address spaces and algebras of analytic functions with one or many variables, spaces of Banach-valued functions, isometries of function spaces, and the geometry of Banach spaces. Topics include characterizations and automatic linearity for ring homomorphisms on algebras of functions, Carleson embeddings for weighted Bergman spaces, relative tensor products for modules over von Neumann algebras, and the boundary of the unit ball in Hardy spaces.
