Synopsis

The book is a complete collection of Paul Halmos's articles written on the subject of algebraic logic (the theory of Boolean functions). Altogether, there are ten articles, which were published between 1954-1959 in eight different journals spanning four countries. Paul R. Halmos (1916–2006) was a prominent American mathematician who taught at the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, and other colleges. His significant contributions to several areas of mathematics include the fields of mathematical logic, ergodic theory, functional analysis, and probability theory.
